A Deal Isn’t Always A Deal

December 16, 2006

I just finished watching a 20/20 episode that was shown earlier this year and for those that didn’t see it, they talked about different aspects of shopping and sales/deals. One part that caught my fancy about deals was very true. Most people see a sale sign and they rush in and buy and think what a great deal they got. However as they showed that’s not always the case.

You see that brand new tv is on sale at $499 down from $599. Seems like a great deal right? However, here is where comparison shopping comes in. Because another electronic store might have it on sale cheaper but the biggest shocker is that there might be other stores whose regular price is already less than that so called “sale” price of $499. So always comparison shop whenever you can. Especially on the internet since its so easy to do with a few clicks of your mouse.
