Participating Krispy Kreme stores will be giving away these cute doughnut pins for those who come into the store on November 4th, election day, with an “I voted” sticker. The pin is star-shaped with sprinkles. Just another good reason to get out and vote next Tuesday.

Free Taco

Run for the border October 28th to get your free hard shell taco from Taco Bell. Taco Bell will be giving away free tacos between 2 and 6pm. Why? Glad you asked. It’s part of their ‘Steal A Base, Steal A Taco’ promotion.
In the opening game of the World Series, Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Jason Bartlett stole a base in the fifth inning. If any bases are stolen during regular play in the World Series, then Taco Bell gives away free crunchy tacos. Last year free tacos were courtesy of Jacoby Ellsbury of the Boston Red Sox who stole a base in the second game of the World Series.

Big Lots is a close out discount store that if you haven’t been to one, then you really need to check it out. Some items they have regularly while others they might just get in once and that’s it.
One item I was told about was that they now carry yarn. It’s mostly fun fur or what I like to call novelty yarn. But here’s the best part. Each skein is either $1 or $1.50. I bought some yarn this weekend that retails for at least $4 for only $1. Considering that you need at least two skeins to do any knitting/crochet project, this deal can help you save a lot of money.
The yarn is tucked away in linens and is kept in clear, plastic bins at our local store. You’ll have to dig around but it will be well worth the effort.
