After Christmas Sales
December 29, 2008
This is the time of the year that I hope and pray that those Christmas items that I wanted are still at the store. Why? Well, because they will be at least 50% off. This is the time to stock up on wrapping paper, tape, ornaments, and other Christmas goodies.
For some it may be hard to shop for next year as it seems the stores put out Christmas merchandise earlier every year. I knew that I wouldn’t be interested in buying much until after Christmas, so I’ve stayed away from the special Christmas aisles as much as possible. It has helped a lot with not feeling ‘burned out’ when it comes to shopping after Christmas.
Get to the stores as soon as possible for the best selection.
Netflix Gift Cards
December 22, 2008
Are you still looking for Christmas gifts? Here is one that I think will be a big hit. It’s Netflix gift cards. I bought one for a friend who I absolutely had no idea what to get him. The best part about this gift if that you can tailor it to your budget.
I bought him a two month subscription for less than $20. They don’t watch a lot of TV, so I got the 1 movie out at a time with no limit to the number received during the month. It was easy and you can either print out the card or email it to the recipient. For those who are Netflix members, check your mail for a card you can use to put the gift certificate in.
It’s definitely a great last minute shopping gift that can be taken care of in just a few minutes.

iRobot Roomba
December 9, 2008
Today’s Woot deal is a product that has so much potential. It’s the
iRobot Roomba 418 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Bundle for only $149.99 plus $5 shipping. This includes the Roomba and the charging base.
Roomba cleans floors and vacuums carpets by itself. If it only washed dishes, then the Roomba would be perfect. At that price, the iRobot Roomba would make a great gift for under the tree. And while the Roomba is under there, it can clean up, too.
Toys R Us Widget
December 9, 2008
Want to keep up with the latest deals from Toys R Us? Now you can from your desktop or blog. Just add the Toys R Us widget to your blog, Facebook, iGoogle, MySpace, etc.

This is a pretty neat idea. Widgets are everywhere, so a lot of people are familiar with them. This gives customers a chance to keep up with deals that are relevant to them and gain some free advertising in the process. Definitely a win-win situation.
