How I miss our local Kmart and their blue light specials. You know Kmart will have a hot deal each week. This weekend’s deals include womens jeans for $9.99 and Mushabelly animal backpacks for $12.99 – that’s half off the regular price.

Look for these blue light specials this weekend. They will take place in all Kmart stores from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time on Saturday, Jan. 23 and from 12 to 7 p.m. local time on Sunday, Jan 24.

$1 Breakfast Menu McDonalds

January 14, 2010

McDonald’s had been testing their $1 menu for breakfast in certain markets and now are expanding them. I noticed today that we now have a $1 breakfast menu at our local McDonald’s. This is good news especially for those looking for a cheap, fast breakfast in the morning. Sadly that is the case for us at least two times a week. We need something fast and cheap since there are three of us eating. The $1 menu will help us keep our breakfast costs down.

Christmas Clearance

January 8, 2010

This is the most wonderful time of the year – it’s time for the after Christmas sales. While Christmas might have been a few weeks ago, Christmas merchandise still lingers in most stores and it’s priced to move.

Most sales start at 50% off while some Christmas merchandise is priced at 90% off. Check out stores like Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, and Target for some great deals on holiday decor to wrapping paper. I know several people who start their Christmas shopping after Christmas since they can save a lot of money and pick up some great bargains.

I always enjoy shopping the clearance aisles after Christmas. Not only can you find Christmas merchandise but other items like toys and clothing as stores make room for their spring stock. The great deals aren’t only limited to brick and mortar stores but websites are still clamoring for those bargain shoppers by offering hot deals, too. Check out your favorite e-commerce spots to see their specific deals for after Christmas sales.
